Maralynn Rosa, 91, of Knightsville passed away at Cloverleaf Health Care on Sunday, July 4, 2010 following an extended illness.
She was born December 13, 1918 in Frankfort, the daughter of Russell C. and Brenetta Jane Northway Stoms.
Maralynn graduated from Van Buren High School with the class of 1936. She later graduated from Smart Appearance Beauty College. Before starting her family, Maralynn owned a beauty shop for several years. She married Joseph R. Rosa October 28, 1945.
She will be remembered as a loving and kind mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a member of the Knightsville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son Joseph "Rocky" Rosa and wife Nancy of Greencastle; daughter Christina Zentko Stinson of Brazil; grandsons Jerimiah Rosa of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Jim Zentko and wife Cassie of Brazil; great-grandson Dylan Zentko of Brazil; brother Russell M. Stoms of Brazil; and niece Jane Douglas of Brazil.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph R. Rosa, sister Ruth France and a sister-in-law Betty Stoms.
Services will be at French Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Dick McShanog officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until time of services.
