Farm Credit to hold customer appreciation event Sept. 1

Monday, August 16, 2010

GREENCASTLE -- Farm Credit Services of Mid-America, a $16.5 billion financial lending cooperative spanning the four states of Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Tennessee, has kicked off their annual summer Customer Appreciation Events. Locally, the Greencastle office will host its event on Sept. 1 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. All customers -- members of the Farm Credit Services office in Putnam, Parke, Hendricks, and Vermillion counties -- are invited to attend.

The events give Farm Credit staff and members of the board of directors the opportunity to say 'thank you' to customers for their business and support as well as provide a forum to learn about the latest news in the association and meet their directors and director candidates running for open board positions.

Additionally, Ken Carrington, Financial Services Officer with Farm Credit in Greencastle said that this year's event will be even more special because all Farm Credit offices throughout Indiana are highlighting the Indiana Pork Producers Million Meals Program during their events. "Together, the 26 Indiana Farm Credit offices are contributing $25,000 to the Million Meals program which provides pork meals to food banks throughout Indiana. We're using our customer appreciation events as a platform to help promote and support this wonderful program," he said.

If you are a member of Farm Credit in Putnam, Parke, Hendricks or Vermillion county and would like to attend the event, please call 653-2691 or 800-446-0306 by Aug. 25 to RSVP.
