Paige Pickens continued her improvement, dropping her time to capture 79th place in 21:39. Abigail Wilson rounded out the top five GHS runners with an 88th place finish in a time of 22:04, a personal best.

Freshman Megan Haynes was 104th (23:08) and senior Faith Fear was 106th (23:29).

"The course was fast and a bit wet," GHS head coach Garry Anderson said. "The varsity girls were able to finish their race before the heavy rains came down during the junior varsity boys' race. Our next meet is the Bloomington North Invitational on Saturday at 9 a.m."
