Goody goody

Monday, May 23, 2011

The former Peebles store in Greencastle officially reopened as Goody's last Wednesday. Customers lined up waiting to get a look at the store as Chamber of Commerce members, city officials and store associates gathered to cut the ribbon on the store in the Putnam Plaza Shopping Center. I have been pleased with the quality of clothing and other merchandise in the former Peebles, now Goodys store. Their superior quality of clothing in a clean, attractively arranged store, with friendly employees makes this store a great addition to Greencastle!

When there was a Goodys in Terre Haute - I occasionally found some good deals.

I have bought numerous items at the local Peebles now Goodys. If your smart you can use their coupons and save a ton of money. When gas prices are what they are its worth combining the savings to stay local. Plus 9 times out 10 your eating out when you drive out of town. Can't expect your local community to bring in more options if you don't support the ones we have.

I used to get some good deals at the Goody's in Crawfordsville. I agree some of their prices were high, but there were lots of sales worth looking at.

All the Goody's stores around Georgia and Virginia have closed down. Good luck keeping this one open.
