PUTNAMVILLE -- The name of the Ohio truck driver fatally injured Aug. 17 in a fiery traffic accident on Interstate 70 in Putnam County has been released by Putnam County Coroner Thomas Miller.

The deceased has been identified as John M. Goins, 43, Harrison, Ohio. He was driving for Averitt Express Inc.

The victim was identified via dental records. His family has been notified, Indiana State Police reported.

The crash occurred about 3:15 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-70 in a construction zone at the 30-mile marker.
