Ardith Poellein, 87, of Greencastle, died Sunday, March 11, 2012 in Greencastle.
Born Oct. 2, 1924 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Edward and Florence Rogers.
She graduated from Greencastle High School in 1943.
She married Hobert Poellein on July 28, 1944.
She was a member of Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church.
Ardith and her husband Hobert operated a Western Auto and Furniture store in Corydon for 32 years. They retired from both businesses in 1982.
Ardith and her husband enjoyed woodworking, crafts, and winters in Florida.
Ardith was preceded in death by her husband Hobert on Jan. 6, 2001, and by her parents.
She is survived by her cousin, Marilyn Gough, Greencastle; three sisters--in-law, a brother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, 4 Percy L. Julian Drive, Greencastle.
Services will follow at 2 p.m. Dr P. T. Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
