James Rady

Author James E. Rady will be at the Putnam County Public Library in Greencastle from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21 to sign his current book, "A Time to Forgive."

Born on a farm in Indiana, Rady was raised in Roachdale, where at one time he owned a grocery store. He retired from a career in Indiana schools and as a major after a 25-year military career of active and reserve duty.

"A Time to Forgive" is a story of the power of forgiveness with major action centered around the Indiana communities of Roachdale, Rockville, Crawfordsville and Greencastle, as well as the IU campus at Bloomington.

As the story of injured war hero Charlie Clay unfolds, the reader finds what it takes to forgive and find peace of mind and happiness once again.

The new novel is the 88-year-old Rady's second book.

"Love Finds a Way," a Civil War story, was released in 2008. He has also published three books of poetry. Rady and his wife, Roberta, currently reside in Lima, Ohio.

Rady's books are available at the Putnam County Public Library. Copies of both books, "A Time to Forgive" and "Love Finds a Way," will be available on site the day of the signing for purchase.

Both novels are also available at Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, through independent booksellers and on Kindle, iPad and Nook.
