Wednesday, July 11, 2012

McCloud Nature Park will be hosting a program on geocaching on Saturday, July 14. Participants are invited to test their skills in the art of geocaching to find hidden treasures located throughout the park.

Maps and coordinate sheets will be available for pick-up at the Nature Center between noon and 4 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring their own GPS or use one provided by the park (while supplies last).

The program is designed for those ages 10 and up. It will last approximately four hours.

McCloud Nature Park is operated by Hendricks County Parks and Recreation and is located five minutes south of North Salem at 8518 N. Hughes Rd. Admission is always free and the park is open from dawn to dusk daily.

The Nature Center's hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
