Food Pantry Recieves Donation in Time of Need
The Putnamville United Methodist Church recently brought in its monthly donation to the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry. The church, which contributes monthly to the food pantry, made sure to donate a bit more, as the food pantry is in an extreme time of need. The pantry itself has donated to 911 households within the first six months of 2012 and has served 2,777 people. In total nearly 40,000 meals have been given out. Present for the donation were Pastor Tim Matthews, Church Treasurer Becky Samsel, and food pantry president Judy Miller.
