TERRE HAUTE -- The Greencastle girls' golf team fell to Terre Haute South 173-205, Monday. Greencastle's score of 205 marked its best round of the year.
Kenzie St. Marie led the Tiger Cubs with a score of 47, with Liz Johnson closely following with a score of 49.
Lauren Bridgewater shot a 51, while Lokysa Scheuermann shot a 58 and Haley Cash shot a 61.
"This was our best nine hole score of the year," GHS head coach Brad Kingma said. "The greens were exceptionally hard and fast and some of the girls, especially Lauren, got off to a tough start until we made adjustments."
Greencastle will travel to Cloverdale for the Putnam County tournament Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
