Phoenix Closures' newest facility now in operation on Greencastle's southwest side.
Injection molder Phoenix Closures will celebrate the grand opening of its new manufacturing facility in Greencastle on Tuesday, Sept. 25, company officials have announced.

The plant will be open to the media and invited guests from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with opening ceremonies beginning at 11a.m.

Phoenix Closures President Bert Miller and Greencastle Site Manager Jason Zejnilhodzic will be available to answer questions.

Other scheduled attendees include Greencastle Mayor Sue Murray and William Dory, executive director of the Greencastle/Putnam County Development Center.

The 250,000-square-foot plant on South Jackson Street/Man-hattan Road -- formerly the site of Oxford Automotive and its predecessor, Greencastle Manufacturing -- will employ up to 90 local workers at full capacity.

Fueled by organic growth, this is the company's third new production site since 2000. Phoenix Closures' products can be found on the packages of many well-known companies, such as Nestlé, Kraft Foods, Dean Foods, J.M. Smuckers, Unilever and General Mills, to name a few.
