Snow Day

While only a couple inches of snow fell around Greencastle overnight, Brehigan Warren took advantage of a rare snow day Wednesday morning. After having a snowball fight with his brother Warren, he took some time to build himself a snowman in his front yard on Washington Street. The Greencastle area received an unofficial 3.5 inches of snow Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, according to local weather observer Diana Foust. One new observer north of Greencastle recorded 3.9 inches, while another one to the south of the city registered 2.9. "Nothing unusual," Foust said of the fluffy, wet snow, "but it's pretty."
