Nevella Jane Parrish

Nevella Jane Parrish, age 81, of Greencastle, passed on to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2013.

Born July 2, 1931 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Arthur B. Crawley Sr. and Helen (Bennett) Hamilton.

She was a 1950 graduate of Greencastle High School.

Nevella married William E. Parrish on July 7, 1951, and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2004.

Nevella had been a homemaker. She was kind and loving, always lending a helping hand to family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon L. Black of Indianapolis; a son, William Michael Parrish of Greencastle; a sister, Mary Scobee of Greencastle; and two grandsons, Douglas Patrick Barnes and David Alan Black, both of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Bill; she was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Nina Knauer; and a brother, Arthur "Junior" Crawley.

Inurnment will be conducted at Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.

The family has entrusted Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with the arrangements.
