After an eventful morning, the Greencastle Fire Department was dispatched to a home at 307 Franklin St. shortly after 8:10 p.m. to a report of a mini barn fire. Greencasle Fire Department Chief Bill Newgent said his crews were able to to extinguish the blaze in about 10 minutes, which was caused by an electrical short in a light inside the mini barn. Damage is estimated at $2,000. Assisting the Greenastle Fire Department was the Greencastle Police Department and Operation Life.
