Jerry Dean "Job" Minter, 66, of Roachdale, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013.

He was born on Dec. 8, 1946 in Seminole, Texas to W.W. Minter and Lavada McCoy Minter.

Jerry was a member of Parkersburg Christian Church and had been employed at Pence Automotive in Danville for 27 years as an Auto Technician.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Daniel Minter and a sister, Doris Minter.

Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Lynn; two sons, Jerry Don Minter and wife Polly of Springtown, Texas and Travis Dean Minter of Roachdale; a sister, Kathy Fowler and husband Ed of Mineral Wells, Texas; three grandsons, Justin, Michael and Ruben; a niece, Brenda Majors and husband Mike of Roachdale; and several brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will celebrate Jerry's life on Saturday, June 29 at 11 a.m. at Parkersburg Christian Church, with Pastor Rich Fuller officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Job enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, truck pulls, working with his hands to build things, attending the Newport Hill Climb and watching wrestling.
