Sounds of the summer night hike at McCloud

Who wants to spend a summer evening listening to the owls, toads, crickets and frogs that call McCloud Nature Park home? Join the McCloud naturalist for a guided night hike along McCloud's scenic trails at 8:30 p.m. Saturday Aug. 3, and learn to identify McCloud's nocturnal inhabitants by their vocalizations.

Registration is required for this free program, which is designed for all ages and will last about an hour and a half. Please call the Hendricks County Parks & Recreation main office at 317-718-6188 to register. Then meet the naturalist at the McCloud Nature Center, and get ready for a great nighttime hiking adventure.

McCloud Nature Park is operated by Hendricks County Parks and Recreation and is located five minutes south of North Salem at 8518 N. Hughes Rd. Admission is always free and the park is open from dawn to dusk daily. The Nature Center's hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
