The next workshop in the 2013 Nonprofit Learning Series, sponsored by the Putnam County Community Foundation and the Montgomery County Community Foundation, is set for Monday, Aug. 12 at the Crawfordsville Country Club.

Titled "Successful Planned Giving: Talking to Real People about Real Gifts and Including the Topic in Every Conversation," the workshop will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cost is $15 if registered for the workshop and paid by Aug. 5 or $25 at the door.

Nationally known speaker Pam Davidson, president of Davidson Gift Design, will address how every charity, in every conversation, can approach the subject of planned giving.

She will explain what an organization can say to an individual about planned giving and how technical knowledge is not required in order to speak to someone. Also highlighted will be donor benefits in charitable gift plans.

The Nonprofit Learning Series is designed to enrich and advance nonprofit associations, organizations, churches and units of government.

The fee includes the workshop, a catered lunch and all workshop materials. To register, persons may contact Vicki Kirby in the Putnam County Foundation office at 653-4978 or online at vkirby@pcfoundation.org.
