Blood drive scheduled for Tuesday at First Christian Church

The Indiana Blood Center is conducting a blood drive at First Christian Church in Greencastle on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Hours are 2-6:30 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, although appointments are suggested and easily made at www.donorpoint.org.

The Indiana Blood Center needs 550 donors every day to annually provide the 170,000 blood components to more than 60 hospitals throughout Indiana.

Donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be healthy, and pass a mini-physical. Donors must bring a picture ID.

With an appointment, the entire process takes less than one hour.

First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is located at 110 S. Indiana St., Greencastle, across from the Greencastle Fire Station.
