County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday, Ashley Nicole Adams, 24, Poland, was charged with probation violation, theft, check deception and forgery of checks.

At 2:40 p.m., David Allen Schoettlin, 39, Chandler, was charged with operating a vehicle after lifetime forfeit and a probation violation.

At 6:04 p.m., Jacob Paul Stranger, 22, Roachdale, was arrested for burglary and theft.

At 6:36 p.m., Daniel Joseph Allan Kader, 26, Crawfordsville, was charged with theft and failure to appear.

* At 7:39 p.m. on Wednesday, Heather Dawn McIntosh, 28, Cloverdale, was charged with compulsory school attendance.

At 10:36 p.m., Dustin James Wheeler, 32, Poland, was charged with failure to appear.

City Police

One minor property-damage accident was investigated recently by Greencastle City Police officers.

-- At 5:42 p.m. Feb. 21, a two-vehicle mishap was reported on Bloomington Street near Martinsville Street.

Officer Ed Wilson reported that Tristan Hollis, 18, Fillmore, was turning left onto Bloomington Street in a 1992 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck as Amy Watson, 40, Greencastle, was attempting to cross Bloomington Street and enter Martinsville Street, eastbound from the McClure's gas station lot.

The resulting collision caused damage estimated at $1,000-$2,500.
