Cary Robin Wood

Cary Robin Wood "R. Wood," 58, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.

Born March 6, 1956 in Greencastle, he was the son of William Alva and Karen (Birt) Wood.

He married Donna J. (Cundiff) Wood on Oct. 26, 1978, and she survives.

Cary had worked at Dixie Chopper for three years and previously worked at Lobdell Emory for more than 28 years.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the VFW.

Cary was a former member of the Moose and Eagles lodges. He was outgoing and enjoyed working in his vegetable and flower gardens.

Cary is survived by his wife, Donna; children Cari Lynn (Chris Hutto) Wood, Isaac Lee (Erin) Wood and Ashlee Marie (Ronald Shillings) Miller; parents, Alva and Karen Wood; brother Loren (Deb) Wood; sisters Kassie Burns and Monice; in-laws Charles and Geraldine Cundiff; brother-in-law Doug (Kim) Cundiff; grandchildren, Andrea Nicole, Adrienne Marie and Andrew Robin Bills, Audrey Brown, Peyton Lee Wood, Kyle Joseph and Nicholas Ryan Miller.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, March 17 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment with military honors will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home.
