Dancin' in the Street

Despite a chilly welcome, the inaugural First Friday effort downtown got feet moving with music, sweet music from the Lemon Brothers, playing from beneath the courthouse overhang to dodge a little drizzle. Enjoying themselves by dancing in the street, Angie Bossnack of Greencastle and her daughter, Colleen, 5, twirl as friend Maura Lazar, also 5, awaits a spin. Organizer Gail Smith of Almost Home was far from disappointed by the crowd outside, obviously curtailed by the chill. She said the effort was designed to get people to visit and enjoy the downtown and that was apparent as the restaurant was packed, as was the Apostrophe Art Space.
