Police investigating body found near Ladoga

LADOGA -- Law enforcement officials spent Monday afternoon investigating a body found in a trailer southeast of Ladoga.

Shortly after 11 a.m., Indiana State Police from the Lafayette Post were called by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department to 8139 E. CR 900 South, where the body had been found.



 Investigators and crime scene technicians remained on the scene after 3 p.m., collecting evidence and talking to potential witnesses.

The cause of death and how long ago it occurred remain undetermined. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday in Terre Haute to help investigators answer these questions and more.

The name of the deceased will not be released until official identification is made by the Montgomery County Coroner.
