Brown-Salsman Wedding

Timothy Joseph Brown (1981 graduate of Brownsburg High School) and Tracy Dean Salsman (1983 graduate of South Putnam High) were united in marriage June 26, 2014 around 4 p.m. at the Martin County Court in Shoals, with Martin Circuit Court Judge Lynne E. Ellis officiating.

Timothy's mother is Rita C. (Sinnott) Lavely of Mooresville and his father Larry J. Brown (deceased, formerly of Brownsburg). Parents of Tracy are Sandra 'Sue' (Sutherlin) Lucas of Cloverdale and his father is Loren R. Salsman Sr. of West Bend, Wis.

Rick Bell and Jamie (Cropp) Bell of Loogootee served as attendants.

Timothy wore Ralph Lauren and Tracy wore Eddie Bauer while both of them wore matching orchid boutonnières. Jamie held a bouquet of purple daisies with baby's breath.

Ushers were Garrett Bell and Griffin Bell, who waved American flags during the ceremony. Garrett also served as their personal photographer.

Deputy Prosecutor Dan Steiner, Sheriff Robert Street, Court Administor Dru Fromm, Director of Community Corrections Cathy Collins and Court Reporter Aureola Wright also attended.

Also attending were Nate Smith, a reporter for Washington Times Herald and Jill Albright, reporter Loogootee Tribune.

A quiet but joyful reception was held afterward at the old Kennedy Grocery Store building, where Tim and Tracy have resided for almost 17 years of the nearly 26 years they have shared a life of love.

A ceremony for friends and family will follow on Oct. 13 on the steps where Robert F. Kennedy, a civil rights champion, campaigned for president in 1968. Oct. 13 marks Timothy and Tracy's 26th anniversary together.
