TERRE HAUTE -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned All-Academic honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, in results released today.

Two individuals also received honors from the CSCAA. Orion Martin (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) captured first-team Individual Scholar All-America honors, with Sam Gould (Greencastle/South Putnam) earning honorable mention recognition.

The men's swimming and diving team combined for a 3.33 team grade point average in the fall, and the women's squad compiled a grade point average of 3.11 to earn Scholar All-Academic Team recognition.

Martin was honored for combining a qualifying grade point average with a trip to the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving National Championship. The CCIW Swimmer of the Year earned his first career All-American award with a seventh-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly at this year's NCAA Nationals.

Gould was recognized for achieving the qualifying grade point average and earning provisional qualification marks for the NCAA Division III Championships.

Rose-Hulman begins the 2014-15 swimming and diving season at the Indiana Intercollegiate Meet at Purdue University on Oct. 18.
