Antique tractor enthusiasts urged to attend Feb. 11 meeting

In an effort to initiate an Antique Tractor Club in Putnam County, an organizational meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11 in the Putnam County Farm Bureau boardroom.

There are a variety of events for which antique tractors would be a nice draw, including Ag Day on March 14, Chandler Orchard around Memorial Day and the Putnam County Fair for starters.

Organizers would like to include plow days, parades and other events based on the interest of the members. Members of the Hendricks County antique tractor group will help guide the Putnam County enthusiasts in their organizing venture.

Chicago's Pizza will be provided for the meeting so RSVPs are needed to spcash@tds.net or by calling 246-6165 if you plan to attend.

In the event any local schools are closed that day the meeting will be postponed to Feb. 18.
