Banner Graphic: What is different about being a senior on the team?

K.J. Coleman: I feel like it's a lot of pressure but it's developing me. I'm starting to realize what I have to be to get to the next level. I'm pushing myself harder, working harder because I feel like it's the last chapter until I'm on to the next.

BG: What was your offseason like this year?

KC: I was in the gym a lot. I was working and running a lot.

BG: Who do you look up to in personal life for inspiration?

KC: My mother and father. They have always been role models for me. They both played sports in high school and both were pretty good. I've always wanted to be like that.

BG: Who are some of your best friends?

KC: My best friends are probably my cousins Marquise and Jalen (Moore). Really everybody is my friend.

BG: What can sports teach you about life?

KC: It teaches me a lot of responsibility. If you mess up on the court, don't get mad at yourself. You've got to keep playing and do better. Make sure you get it next time. That's your responsibility in life. If you mess something up, you can't take it back. You'll just have to work on next time and what you can do to make it better.

BG: What are some of your favorite memories at Cloverdale?

KC: So far it's been sectionals and I hope it goes longer. Either that or the time Coach Rady (Sr.) yelled at Brantson.

BG: What are your plans after high school?

KC: I'm going to attend college and play basketball. I don't know where yet.

BG: What will you study?

KC: Engineering. I like creating things. I'm a good drawer. I like planning things out. I feel like I'd be good at that.
