Failure to Dim Headlights Results in Three Arrests

CLOVERDALE --Friday night at 11:20, Indiana State Police Trooper Yan Dravigne stopped a black Honda Accord for failure to dim headlights on westbound Interstate 70 near the 41-mile marker at Cloverdale.

While speaking with the occupants, Trooper Dravigne detected several indicators of possible criminal activity and requested a police canine unit.

Cloverdale Police Sgt. Charlie Hallam and K-9 "Chewy" responded and "Chewy" gave a positive alert to narcotics in the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle, several Xanax pills, approximately six grams of cocaine, less than three grams of marijuana, and assorted drug paraphernalia were all located.

A subsequent registration check revealed the license plate was reported stolen out of Indianapolis.

Arrested:

GABRIELLE CODALATA , age 19, of Indianapolis.

- Possession cocaine ( felony)

- Possession stolen property (A misd)

- Possession controlled substance (A misd)

LOUIS GUTIERREZ , age 18, of Indianapolis.

- Possession of Cocaine ( felony)

- Possession controlled substance (A misd)

JUAN GARCIA, age 19, of Indianapolis.

- Possession Marijuana (A misd)

- Possession paraphernalia (A misd)

All were incarcerated in the Putnam County Jail. Dravigne was assisted by Trooper David Cox Jr., Cloverdale Police Department and Haywood Towing.
