Putnamville UMC hosts ice cream social June 28

Carrying on an annual tradition, the Putnamville United Methodist Church is slated for noon-3 p.m. on Sunday, June 28 at the historic church building in Putnamville.

All are invited to enjoy ice cream, homemade cake and pie, ham sandwiches, hot dogs, coneys, chips, lemonade, iced tea and soft drinks for a freewill offering.

The United Methodist Women will have a bake sale with homemade goods and candy.

Music by Dan Brush and Upward Journey will begin at 1 p.m.

The church will be accepting donations for the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry.

The church and the Putnamville Museum will be open, with the event held on the church lawn. In the event of rain, the social will move inside the church.

The church, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the museum are located on U.S. 40 in downtown Putnamville.
