Banner Graphic: What is different this year about being a senior?

Patrick Jackson: I feel like a leader. It's nice not being one of the younger kids anymore. I'm playing like it's the last time I'll ever play. It's my last year.

BG: What's the main differences in football and the track team?

PJ: It's a lot more contact in football. It's more of a team sports. Track is a team sports but it comes down to some individual stuff.

BG: Which sport is your favorite?

PJ: Football. I've played it a lot longer. Since I was younger.

BG: What was it like when you first started playing football.

PJ: Not many kids could block me because I was so big. It was nice and easy. I liked it.

BG: What is your favorite part about football?

PJ: Blocking. I like blocking a lot. Blocking and tackling.

BG: Why do you like blocking so much?

PJ: I like protecting my quarterback. I've got his back.

BG: What are you favorite memories playing at Cloverdale.

PJ: This is actually my first full season of a sport here at Cloverdale because I came from a different school. My favorite memory. I threw sophomore year and I got first place in shot put. That was a pretty good feeling. It was at DePauw in the indoor state qualifyier.

BG: What is your favorite thing about your teammates?

PJ: There are a lot of small ones and a lot of younger ones. But we all still play together like a family. That's a pretty good bond right there.

BG: What are your post-high school plans?

PJ: I think I'm going to go to school at Midwest Tech for welding.

BG: What made you interested in welding?

PJ: Sophomore year, I took a class hear at school and I really enjoyed it. I liked it beacuase I was good at it.
