Wilfred Lee 'Bill' Williams

Wilfred Lee "Bill" Williams, 79, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016.

Born April 8, 1936 in Bainbridge, he was the son of Morris H. and Genieve (Miles) Williams.

He was a 1954 graduate of Bainbridge High School.

He married Betty Jean (Servies) Williams on Sept. 23, 1956, and she survives.

Bill was a farmer and had worked at IBM for 26 years. He also raised quarter horses on the family farm for several years.

Bill was a member of the Roachdale Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Williams; a son, Jeffery L. (Diana) Williams; a daughter, Cheryl (Mark) Jurgens; and two grandchildren, Seth (Jacqui) Williams and Hannah Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18 at the funeral home.
