Farm Bureau scholarships available

Applications are now available for the Indiana Farm Bureau Scholarship Program and are due by Tuesday, March 1.

Indiana Farm Bureau and the Farm Bureau Foundation will award 12 district and state college scholarships to high school seniors and college students for the current school year. A Putnam County scholarship is also available to children of Putnam County Farm Bureau Inc. members.

Scholarships may be applied to tuition, housing, books and other educational expenses. Payment will be made directly to the college or university of the student's choice.

Available scholarships include the Marion Stackhouse Scholarship, Collegiate and District 1-10 Foundation Scholarships.

Also available is the Purdue University Harry L. Pearson Outstanding Leader Scholarship, which is awarded to incoming Purdue University freshmen, as well as current students in the College of Agriculture.

Adults looking to improve their careers may apply for the Indiana Farm Bureau Career Enrichment Scholarship, which will be awarded to an adult, 21 years or older, who intends on enriching their career of choice.

Finally, county scholarships can be found at the bottom of the webpage. Putnam County has its own application on box number 6.

Putnam County Farm Bureau Inc. membership must have been carried for at least two years prior to application and be in good standing at the time of presentation.

This application is to be printed off and mailed or dropped off the Putnam County Farm Bureau Inc. office in Greencastle.
