Greencastle City Police were called to the location at 11:30 a.m. Thursday after the store manager reportedly observed Brandon Winn remove three DVDs from their packaging and put the discs in his pocket.

Capt. Chris Jones reported the Winn became non-compliant when he and Officer Nick Eastham arrived and had to be physically restrained.

Winn is accused of stealing two copies of "Here Comes the Boom," valued at $8 each, and a copy of "Baby Boys," valued at $3. Total value, including tax, was listed at $20.33.

The suspect was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on charges of theft and resisting law enforcement.

Franklin St. Thursday evening (covered in Friday's editions), City Police reported that the driver, Robert Bell, 71, Greencastle, was cited for driving with a suspended license and for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility.
