BRODY BEASLEY received a Super-Superior rating for his piano performance at the Hendricks County Music Festival on March 12.

Beasley performed two pieces by memory and was judged on rhythm, preparation, musicality and professionalism. A Super-Superior rating indicates a perfect score on both pieces.

Brody is the son of Brian and Cindy Beasley. The family resides at Heritage Lake.

He is the student of Linda Freund, also located at Heritage Lake.


BEAU BAIRD of Greencastle has been elected as a 2016-17 American Quarter Horse Association director.

He is one of the annually-elected AQHA directors charged with helping establish rules and policies relative to AQHA's various programs and voting on items from the AQHA standing committees. One of the most significant tasks for AQHA's board is its responsibility for adopting all rules and regulations relative to registering American Quarter Horses.

AQHA is pleased to have Baird assume a role in assisting with AQHA initiatives. In addition, Baird will promote AQHA programs, membership and the registration of eligible horses through contact with individuals and groups, and initiate communication to AQHA regarding constituents' issues.

He will serve as a communication link between AQHA and its membership in Indiana.

The AQHA Board of Directors meets annually during the Association's convention. The 2016 AQHA Convention was March 11-13 in Las Vegas.

During the convention, standing committees met to review member-proposed changes, program suggestions and make recommendations to the board of directors.


DOUG CLODFELTER, plant operator and operations manager for Clear Creek Conservancy District in Greencastle, was presented with the "Wastewater System Operations Specialist of the Year" award from Alliance of Indiana Rural Water during their Spring Conference in French Lick on March 16.

Clodfelter has worked for Clear Creek for 26 years and is currently the plant operator and operations manager.

Since becoming the district operations manager in 2000, Clodfelter has overseen more than 12 projects to completion.

Board President Brian Waldman says Doug "excels with the many responsibilities required of him and his outstanding performance and character is an example for others."

The Alliance of Indiana Rural Water is a non-profit membership association of more than 800 water and wastewater systems and related professionals. The alliance provides training and onsite technical assistance on Safe Drinking Water Act compliance issues, public health protection (as it relates to drinking water), managerial issues, financial issues and operational issues to water and wastewater systems in Indiana that are under 10,000 in population.


HEARING CARE PROFESSIONALS was recently presented with an operational excellence award at an event in Mexico.

The award was given by the Elite Hearing Network, with whom Hearing Care Professionals has partnered for nearly 20 years.

"This is a great honor for our HCP family," stated Todd Oney, co-owner of Hearing Care Professionals. "We all work hard for our clients and are very proud of the work we do here. This award means a lot to each of us."
