The court is poured, the bib numbers are ordered, the beverages are brewin'!

In just few short days, runners will be toeing the start line with some of the Midwest's finest outfitted racers for the third annual C.A.R.R. (Camo America Ranbow Run) 5K run on Saturday, June 11 in Greencastle.

The time to register is now to help organizers get an accurate count for T-shirts, Pop-Tarts, tattoos, color powder and other race-day essentials. Register online or conveniently avoid a convenience fee by mailing in or dropping off your form. The price increases on June 5.

Participants may sign up online at https://runsignup.com/Race/IN/Greencastl... or visit carr5k.com for details about printable registration forms.

This year, the race starts at 6 p.m. at the Big Walnut Sports Park to showcase the Andrew Keith Carr Memorial Basketball Court. A quick dedication ceremony is planned for just prior to the race at the newly poured court at the Sports Park (funded in part by a 100 Women Who Care grant) before the race.

T-shirt and bib number pick-up will be Friday, June 10 at the Sports Park shelterhouse from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Pick-up on race day will be available from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

The fun isn't over after 3.1 miles this year. A post-race celebration is scheduled for outside Wasser Brewing at Franklin and Vine streets in downtown Greencastle. Celebrants can enjoy chicken, vegetables, pasta salad, and a pint (or soda) all for just $9.

The celebration will include tours and live music by the musical talents of Gus Moon and Saturday Shoes. Meal tickets will be available for purchase online, and at the brewery after the race. And you don't even have to do the 5K to get in on that deal.
