Wayne Buser, 85, proudly displays his award-winning cornstalks after winning the title of Tallest Corn this year at the 2016 Putnam County 4-H Fair. A farmer for his entire life, Buser moved to Greencastle in 1943 and entered the competition for the first time this year. The stalks that earned him the award measured 11 feet and 9.5 inches.
