Latest stray report from local animal shelter

Here are the latest stray animals currently held at the Putnam County Animal Care and Control Shelter, 4700 E. State Road 240, Greencastle.

-- Dog: Adult, male, black-and-white hound mix, found on CR 100 South, near Greencastle.

-- Dog: Young, male, chocolate, terrier mix, found on Fairview Drive.

-- Cat: Young, gray tabby, found at Heritage Lake.

These animals were not wearing identification and were not microchipped.

To claim an animal, you must present proof of ownership.

Public hours at the shelter are 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

The shelter is in desperate need of fosters. Commitments can be as little as two weeks. All supplies and training are provided. Call the shelter at 653-1943 to sign up.
