Five Scorpion installers to compete in upcoming Tint-Off event Oct. 4-7

With the International Window Film Tint-Off and Competition taking place Oct. 4-7 in San Antonio, Scorpion Window Film will be in booth 703 at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center, showing its full line of automotive, architectural and safety/security films.

Scorpion Window Film will also be hosting in booth tint demonstrations to see the just how user friendly its films are.

Scorpion, celebrating its 20th year of operations, will be making its fifth appearance at the Tint-Off and has five of its installers competing this year. This is the “Super Bowl” for this industry. Every major film manufacturer will be exhibiting and the competition will feature installers from around the globe.

Scorpion will have installers from Georgia, South Carolina, Missouri and Indiana competing in six categories of film installation.

Also, in the competition this year will be Putnam County resident and Greencastle business owner Joe Jones of Rockstar Window Tinting. Jones has been in the automotive industry for many years and ran his own tint shop for four years.

Josh Buis, COO of Scorpion Window Film, is excited for this year’s event.

“Last year we were able to make the finals with one of our South Carolina installers,” Buis said. “We feel we are well represented this year and plan on making the podium. It would be exciting to have a local brand and installer win this event.”

Scorpion Window Film will be the primary sponsor of the annual “Pub Crawl” which will offer a unique look at the history of downtown San Antonio. This will be a guided tour with area experts and will be an interesting look at a city with rich history, with a few stops along the way on the famous River Walk.
