Banner Graphic: What other sports do you do besides running?
Logan Vandermark: “I swam as a sophomore, and I’m going to swim again this year to give my knees a break.”
BG: How has running helped you as a person?
LV: “It has helped me to be a more reliable person. Kieffer and I rely on each other to be at practice and push ourselves to our potential.”
BG: What do you think about the high school portion of your life coming to an end pretty soon?
LV: “I’m going to miss it, but it’s time for a new change. I’m definitely going to miss running with Kieffer, Coach Welti and Coach Pruitt.”
BG: What do you like to do that isn’t related to sports?
LV: “I like to hang out at home. My family is an important part of my life. I also like to help plan things for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and National Honor Society”
BG: Who are your biggest supporters?
LV: “My mom and dad are always there at the races. My brother also comes down from Purdue as often as he can.”
BG: Which class do you enjoy most in school?
LV: “My favorite class is probably Spanish. I’m not very good at it, but I enjoy it. I like to challenge myself to do something that’s not easy to do.”
BG: What other non-school things do you like to do?
LV: “I like to play guitar. I like to learn new things and work on them to challenge myself. I like to hang out with my dog, Fritz [a cocker spaniel].”
BG: Are you a good student?
LV: “I have just over a 4.0.”
BG: Is it difficult to do that well with so many other activities and interests going on?
LV: “It’s definitely cahellenging to do that every day. On ce you get it down, it becomes a routine. It’s good to get things all done so you can have some relaxing time, and then start it all over again.”
BG: What are your plans for after high school?
LV: “Right now I’m looking at Franklin for athletic training, and I’d also like to run there.”
