City Police

Greencastle City Police officers investigated a recent shoplifting incident at the Walmart store on Indianapolis Road.

• At 5:20 p.m. Friday, Cassidy Frost, 19, Bainbridge, was arrested by Sgt. Ed Wilson at Walmart.

She was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on charges of theft, unlawful possession of syringes (two) and possession of paraphernalia.

Frost allegedly took 13 paint markers, valued at $25.61, Wilson reported.

Three additional arrests were reported by City Police officers.

• At 11:32 p.m. Monday, Dakota Carpenter, 24, Greencastle, was arrested on a Putnam County warrant stemming from an original charge of battery.

Arrested at a Sycamore Street residence by Officer Matt Huffman, Carpenter was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

• At 4:18 p.m. Sunday, Anthony Alamo, 29, Terre Haute, was arrested by Officer Kyle Lee for a probation violation.

Arrested on Washington Street, Alamo was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

• At 10:48 p.m. Friday, Michael Skinner, 44, Greencastle, was arrested by Capt. Charles Inman for possession of methamphetamine.

Taken into custody following a traffic stop at Bloomington and Washington streets, Skinner was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Meanwhile, one recent property-damage accident was reported by city officers.

• At 3:32 p.m. Friday, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Indianapolis Road near Burger King on the city’s East Side.

Reserve Officer Billy Wallace reported that Cara Wade, 29, Greencastle, was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am, and had stopped to turn into the Shoppes of Greencastle on the south side of the roadway.

Meanwhile, Shawna Campbell, 32, Greencastle, was attempting to turn left out of the easternmost Putnam Plaza entrance to go east on Indianapolis Road in a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox, when a collision occurred.

Total damage was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.
