With Veterans Day approaching, the Putnam County Museum has issued a call-out to all Putnam County veterans and families of veterans to bring in artifacts the museum could borrow.

The museum wants to see what you have held onto over the years and why such items are special to you.

A museum display could show how Putnam County has connected on a world scale in history and even in present day, museum officials said.

“We are so grateful to all of those who have served in the military to make life easier and safer for us here at home and all of those abroad, now we would like the chance to showcase those Putnam County residents,” a museum spokesman said.

If anyone has any such items to loan, they are asked to contact the museum at 653-8419 or stop in at 1105 N. Jackson St. Greencastle.

Museum hours are 1-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays.
