Thursday, December 22, 2016

The Putnam County Public Library will be offering four computer classes in January 2017.

The computer classes being offered are hands-on classes and are designed to introduce patrons to productivity tools.

On Thursday, Jan. 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Introduction to Word Processing will introduce patrons to using typewriter like word-processing software like Microsoft Word and discuss cheaper and free alternatives to Microsoft.

On Thursday, Jan. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Advanced Word Processing will discuss the more advanced features of modern word-processing software.

On Thursday, Jan. 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Introduction to Spreadsheets will introduce patrons to spreadsheet software, creating and using spreadsheets like Microsoft Excel and discuss cheaper and free alternatives to Microsoft.

On Thursday, Jan. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Advanced Spreadsheets will cover some of the more advanced features of spreadsheet software.

All classes are for beginners and are free and open to the public but registration is required since space is limited. Classes are two hours long with a break.

For a schedule, you can view the library website at PCPL21.org, call Mike at 653-2755 Ext. 118, or stop by the library circulation or reference desks.
