Terry Lee Covert

Terry Lee Covert, 63, of Reelsville passed away Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at his residence.

Terry was born in Greencastle on Dec. 31, 1953, the son of Jesse and Mary (Williams) Covert.

He attended Greencastle Schools.

Mr. Covert was a team leader at Great Dane for 36 years until his retirement in 2014.

Survivors include his wife of 31/2 years, Kathy Covert; a daughter, Carla Ricketts, (husband Bret), Greencastle; three stepchildren, Brad Sutherlin, Brazil, Felicite Fockler, Greencastle, and Thomas J. Miles II, Greencastle; two sisters, Patty Strong, Fillmore, and Mary Dawn Fenwick, (husband Ralph), Greencastle; a brother, Steve Covert, Greencastle; three grandchildren, Jessica Covert, Brittany Ricketts and Levi Ricketts; five step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Darrell Covert; a granddaughter, Destiny Ricketts; and a sister-in-law, Betty Covert.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastors David Bard and Archie Strong officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13 or one hour prior to time of service Tuesday.
