Arlando 'Lanny' Harvey Lewis,

Arlando "Lanny" Harvey Lewis, 71, of Scottsburg, formerly of Bainbridge, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018.

He was born Sept. 17, 1946 in Greencastle, the son of Arlando F. and Naomi (Ferrand) Lewis Barker.

He attended Bainbridge schools until his senior year, when he married Diana Kay Cook and graduated from Ladoga High School.

Lanny was an over-the-road truck driver for several years.

He is survived by his sons, Troy Allen (Carol) Lewis and Adam Wayne (Paula) Lewis; siblings Louisa (Robert) Chastain, Terry Allen (Selena) Lewis, Steven Wayne (Koren) Lewis, Archie Michael (Mary) Lewis, Herbert Kent (Peggy) Lewis and Lisa Blanche (Thomas Ray) Crowder; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Carmont "Cal" Barker; a brother, David Robert "Bob" Lewis; and a sister, Mary Frances Lewis.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family has entrusted the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with the arrangements.
