Wayne O. Pittsenbarger

Wayne O. Pittsenbarger, 72, of Greencastle, passed away at Union Hospital on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.

Wayne was born in Clay County, Ind., on Sept. 29, 1945, the son of Elmer and Lois Mickey (Reiffit) Pittsenbarger.

Wayne worked in many capacities over the years. He worked as a truck driver, log cutter, welder and miner.

Wayne helped to build the dragline at Amax Coal Co. There wasn't much Wayne couldn't do with his hands and was a heck of a metal fabricator as well.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lois Pittsenbarger, and two brothers, James "Sonny" Pittsenbarger and Kenneth Pittsenbarger.

Survivors include his wife, Rose June Pittsenbarger, whom he married on Dec. 9, 1966; four sons, Eric Wayne Pittsenbarger, Nathan Earl Pittsenbarger, Patrick Owen Pittsenbarger and wife Jenny and Stoney James Pittsenbarger; grandchildren Emily Wilson, Coagan Stewart, Megan Pittsenbarger, Brooklyn Pittsenbarger, Patrick Owen Yockey, Memphis James Pittsenbarger, Kyle Wayne Pittsenbarger, Colton Joe Pittsenbarger and Max Pittsenbarger; great-grandchildren Trinity Nichols, Sydney Horsely, Dawson Horsely, Jericho Horsely and Hattie Wilson; a sister-in-law, Judy Pittsenbarger; a close friend, Scott Cooper, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

At his request there will be no services.

Cremation has been entrusted to French Funeral Home, Brazil.
