County Jail

Eight people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Sunday

• At 8:20 p.m. Brittaney Anne Richardson, 24, Bedford, was lodged at the jail for possession of methamphetamine.

• At 6:59 p.m. Cody Allen Richardson, 29, Spencer, was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine.

• At 6:39 p.m. Candice Jo Lumpkin, 36, Coatesville, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 6:36 p.m. Larry Gene Farley, 47, Poland, was booked in for possession of methamphetamine.

• At 4:59 p.m. Jordan Kyle Nester, 27, Fillmore, was lodged at the jail on an out-of-county warrant.

Saturday

• At 4:54 p.m. Charles Howard Martin III, 37, Indianapolis, was taken into custody on a Marion County warrant.

Friday

• At 9:39 a.m. Travis Lee Smith, 41, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on two counts of possession of methamphetamine.

• At 9:20 a.m. Toby Lee Cook, 36, Terre Haute, was booked in for possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and driving while intoxicated.

City Police

Two arrests were reported in recent activity by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 8 a.m. Sunday, Robert Hisson, 43, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Kyle Lee following a traffic stop on Bloomington Street.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Hisson is facing charges of possession of paraphernalia and public intoxication.

• At 1:34 p.m. Saturday, Jason Jones, 38, Greencastle, was arrested by Capt. Chris Jones.

Arrested at a Maple Avenue residence, suspect Jones was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a pair of Putnam County warrants, one for possession of synthetic drugs and controlled substances and the other for auto theft.

One recent traffic citation was issued by Greencastle officers.

• At 6:14 a.m. Friday, Tanner Braden, 27, Lafayette, was ticketed for speeding by Officer Nick Eastham.

Stopped on Bloomington Street, Braden was cited for 55 mph in a 30-mph zone.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage accident.

• At 12:20 a.m. on Saturday, Mary E. Kent, 65, Brazil, was westbound on U.S. 40, just west of County Road 625 West, in a 2006 Ford Fusion when she hit a deer.

Deputy Robert Soilleux estimated damage at $5,001-$10,000.
