Eddie Joe Carmichael

Eddie Joe Carmichael, 65, of Greencastle, passed away early Monday morning, April 30, 2018 at The Waters of Greencastle.

Eddie was born in Greencastle on March 14, 1953, the son of Wilbur and Marilynn (Herbert) Carmichael.

He was a 1971 graduate of South Putnam High School.

At the beginning of his work career, Mr. Carmichael worked at the Stop 'n Shop on the Square with his father and grandfather. Afterward, he began work at Charlie Jenkins Standard gas station, before working at Hoffa Security and retiring after 20 years of service.

He is survived by his sister, Joyce Coffey (husband Bob), Cedar Park, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4 at Hopkins Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Steve Brattain officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 3 or one hour prior to time of service Friday.
