Tiger Pointe CC grand-opening event June 1-3

Tuesday, May 29, 2018

Celebrating the official purchase of Windy Hill Country Club by DePauw University alum Lee Tenzer, effective June 1, a grand-opening celebration will be staged at the newly renamed Tiger Pointe Country Club Friday, June 1 through Sunday, June 3.

The course will transition from a private club to a semi-private club/daily-fee facility with annual memberships available.

Tenzer is committing to build a new clubhouse with an event center and proshop along with an outdoor and screened-in patio. Construction of the 5,000-square-foot main-level facility will start in October and is expected to be ready for operations on March 1.

This current year Tenzer will be purchasing many new pieces of course maintenance equipment, including new mowers for greens, fairway and rough. Additionally Tenzer will be making improvements to the course over the next year, including the addition of new tee boxes and a remodeled driving range.

The new owner will be on hand at Tiger Pointe Country Club on U.S. 231, just north of Greencastle, on Saturday, June 2 to meet golfers as they come out to play.
