Tuesday, June 26, 2018

PUTNAMVILLE -- Indiana State Police troopers from the Putnamville District will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint this Friday night and early Saturday morning, June 29-30, ISP officials have announced.

However, the exact location and time of the checkpoint will not be released.

Motorists who are not impaired can expect only short delays of two or three minutes while passing through the checkpoint, State Police said.

To report a suspected dangerous and/or impaired driver, persons are advised to dial 911.

State Police are committed to traffic safety and will continue to conduct saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints to apprehend impaired drivers and to deter others from drinking and driving, officials stressed.
