Next Old Trail Inn dinner at museum set Aug. 12

The Putnam County Museum has announced a "next seating" for Sunday dinner at the Old Trail Inn.

Serving will start at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12 in the new event room at the museum, 1105 N. Jackson St., Greencastle.

Reservations are $25 per person and can be made by calling the museum at 653-8419 for a trip down memory lane and a chance to make new memories of good times and great food.

The museum has been fortunate in acquiring original Old Trail Inn recipes for many remembered favorites. The wait staff will serve a family-style menu, including the Trail Inn's famous sweet rolls, fried chicken, swiss steak, dinner rolls and other traditional sides, with drinks and a choice of desserts.

The event is a fundraiser for the Putnam County Museum, where, as Executive Director Lisa Mock says, the preservation of Putnam County history has never tasted better.
