So far: North Putnam beat North Montgomery 28-12 and Southmont 48-42. South Putnam has defeated Cloverdale 6-0 and Owen Valley 57-14.

History: North Putnam won 48-21 last season and holds a 20-17 record in the series over the past 30 years.

Edgewood (1-1) at Cloverdale (0-2)

The coaches: Brian Rosenburgh is in his second year at Edgewood. Tom Winders is in his second year at Cloverdale.

So far: Edgewood won 26-7 at Mitchell and lost 42-14 at home to Northview. Cloverdale lost 6-0 to South Putnam and 28-18 to Greencastle.

History: Cloverdale won 19-10 last year. Edgewood has a 3-2 record in games over the past 30 years.

John Harrell prediction: Edgewood 24, Cloverdale 17.

Greencastle (2-0) at West Vigo (1-1)

The coaches: Mike Meyer is in his ninth year at Greencastle. Jeff Cobb is in his 14th year at West Vigo.

So far: Greencastle beat Crawfordsville 9-0 and Cloverdale 28-18. West Vigo lost 42-12 to Class A No. 3 North Central and won 31-7 at Crawfordsville.

History: West Vigo won 14-0 last year at Greencastle. Greencastle has won six of the last 10 meetings.
